Latisse

Latisse is a version of a glaucoma drug called bimatoprost, which has a hair growth side effect resulting in longer, more luscious eyelashes over time.  It is thought to increase the growth phase and the number of hairs that sprout.

You may start noticing results after about 8 weeks but full results will appear after about 12-16 weeks of use.

It is a daily treatment but can be done in the comfort of your own home.

PERSONAL

ASSESSMENT

Our consultation will address whether this is an appropriate treatment for you and exclude any conditions which may be contra-indicated in using Latisse - such as pregnancy and certain eye problems.

Once this risk assessment is complete we will discuss the use and application of the product and decide on a projected timeline for optimal use.  Photographs will be taken in the consultation of your current lashes.

  • TREATMENT FOLLOW-UP
The area under the chin will be cleaned and a topical local anaesthetic applied to provide more comfort during the treatment. Once the numbing agent has set in, a grid will be applied to the area as a guideline to aid injections. A small gauge needle will be used to inject into the marks indicated in the treatment area. Each treatment will require multiple injections and usually takes about 20-30min. Following the treatment, the area will be cleaned once again and an ice pack applied to ease any swelling and tenderness.
  • PRE-TREATMENT GUIDELINES
    1. It is advised to book a consultation followed by a treatment session usually at a later date. 2. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are contra-indicated. 3. Be aware of upcoming social events and work commitments when booking your treatments. 4.
